Hi, I'm María.

I am a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language and the creator of CreaELE Academy. I help adult learners turn what they know into more natural conversations.

My way of teaching

I want you to speak, even when you do not have all the words yet.

I decided to teach Spanish because I enjoy helping people communicate. Knowing a grammar rule does not always mean being able to use it when someone asks you a question, when you need to solve a problem or when you want to tell a story.

That is why my lessons are built around conversation. We use stories, images, questions and role plays to practise situations you may encounter while living, working or travelling in Spain.

You do not need to speak without mistakes. In class, you can try, ask questions and try again with support. My aim is for you to feel heard, comfortable and confident enough to take part more and more.

I have taught students through Preply and in private lessons.

I work with adult learners who already know some Spanish. I focus on people who understand quite a lot but freeze when speaking or want to sound more natural.
